Line-mounted lightning arrester
Suspension-type organic composite coated metal oxide surge arresters for 6~220kV AC transmission lines are connected in parallel at both ends of the insulator string to limit lightning overvoltage on the line, improve the line's lightning withstand level, and reduce the tripping rate caused by lightning faults. It is a new type of arrester specifically designed for suspension installation on transmission towers.
