Dropping arrester
Drop-out (throwable, removable) surge arresters are modified distribution-type zinc oxide surge arresters cleverly installed on the drop-out mechanism of a drop-out fuse. This allows for convenient testing, maintenance, and replacement of the arrester without interrupting power, using an insulated operating rod. This ensures line continuity and significantly reduces the workload and time required for power maintenance personnel.
