A surge counter for lightning arresters is a high-voltage electrical appliance used to monitor the discharge operation of lightning arresters. Drop-out (throwable, removable) surge arresters are modified distribution-type zinc oxide surge arresters cleverly installed on the drop-out mechanism of a drop-out fuse. This allows for convenient testing, maintenance, and replacement of the arrester without interrupting power, using an insulated operating rod. This ensures line continuity and significantly reduces the workload and time required for power maintenance personnel. It is particularly suitable for locations where power outages are undesirable, such as post and telecommunications, airports, stations, hospitals, and busy commercial centers.

All indicators meet the requirements of GB11032-2000 "AC Metal Oxide Surge Arresters" and IEC.C62 "Requirements for Distribution Line Surge Arresters and Disconnectors".
